Pole dancing is magic and so are you. In Pole CLA$$ you will learn tricks, spins and sequences in a supportive environment open to all levels.  Focus is on gaining strength and flexibility, building pole dance vocabulary, and affirming self expression and creativity. Now in its 6th year, QTOPC POLE CLA$$ is a Bay Area gem, offered to queer and trans people of color and women of color as a space to sweat, dance, grow and be in pole community. Freestyle Rituals: Developing and Afro- Estatik Dance Practice taught by Rashad Pridgen

Re-claiming the dance floor with an Afro-Futurist facilitated dance jam. Designed as a communal healing movement space for folks of the African Diaspora who identify within the queer, trans and GNC community. This workshop builds on the exploration of the African dance aesthetic, de-colonized freestyle and the activation of anti-oppressive street dance and the contribution of the queer and trans community in Global Street Dance. Class will be accompanied by recorded music and occasional rotating DJs with inspirational hip hop beats, rhythmic R&B, and soulful house.  SIGN UP HERE

Radiant Orbit: A pole dance choreography workshop with India Sky

Centering creative practice as a medium for transformation, Radiant Orbit honors pole dance as a means for facilitating personal and collective power, expression and change. In this workshop participants will learn foundational pole dance technique, build upon their skill sets, and practice strength and flexibility conditioning exercises.  Through movement exploration, we will create a collective choreographed dance piece that will incorporate original movement developed by workshop participants, as well as choreography taught by the facilitator. This workshop is for queer, trans and GNC folks of the African Diaspora. All experience levels, body types and gender identities are welcome.  The workshop will culminate in a performance piece that will be a part of a showcase on November 1st 2018.   Radiant Orbit Registration is Closed.
